Bass Pro Shops, Antiques, Lodging, Food and fun are all at Exit 10 Denham Springs, LA
  I just want to thank the designers of this Bass Pro Shops for the excellent job they did of recreating the effects of the swamp scene that looks so real. The old cabin on the water reminds me of some of the old fishing camps that are still present in the swamps, bayous and other water ways in this area. Live ducks, turtles, fish and cypress trees make me feel like it's the real thing. This is truly a fun store to visit. Like to shoot a rifle? Do you want to do some hunting? Maybe you want to be a race car driver. The Bass Pro Shops has a shooting gallery where you can shoot that wild boar, turkey, squirrel, duck and many other wild animals that are native to Louisiana.

If you are just passing thru Louisiana on Interstate 12 you need to put some time aside to make this a part of your trip. Me being a man and all into a store like this, I can spend hours in this store. My wife is good for about 1/2 hour in the store so I have a way to satisfy her. Two miles north of the Bass Pro Shops is an area call Antique Village. This is the antique district of Denham Springs. You can easily spend hours looking thru all the shops in this two block area. I can almost promise you that she will find something to buy.

Many people make Denham Springs and Walker their stopping point in their trip thru Louisiana to their final destination. Livingston Parish has an abundance of hotels, motels and campgrounds to accommodate your needs and make the whole family happy. For your small children we have a Gati's Pizza with a game room. This is my favorite pizza place and it is an all you can eat buffet. I always order the Deluxe Deep Dish Combination Pizza when I pay for the meal coming in the front door. There is no extra charge for this but it does go on the buffet so be ready to get some when it comes out of the oven. There are many other places to eat at the Denham Springs exit. This is a new area of the city and you will feel welcome with that great Southern hospitality that people have here. The new Greystone Golf Course is just a mile away from the Denham Springs exit.

Have fun with your stay here wither it is just a two hour stop-over or week or two vacation. Denham Springs is only 1 1/2 hours from New Orleans and 30 minutes away from several plantation homes. Baton Rouge is just across the river from us.

Bass Pro Shops is  the anchor store to the planned 75-acre development at I-12 and Range Avenue. The 163,000 square-foot store  includes an Islamorada Fish Company Restaurant.  The 11,430 square-foot Islamorada Fish Company Restaurant will be capable of seating 300 people.

The outdoor store features a bayou theme and offers a uniquely designed aquarium, an expansive boat showroom, and museum-quality wildlife mounts and dioramas.

The store is designed to pick up the local flavor of the area’s outdoor heritage and include state record fish and wildlife exhibits and historical pictures and artifacts from local hunters and fishermen. This store has made a welcome addition to shopping here in Livingston Parish. This is truly a Sportsman's Paradise!
